The Lindhurst High School wresting team- who, with a 42 point win over Mesa Verde won a 7th consecutive Golden Empire League Championship!
In the win over Mesa Verde, the Blazers got win by pin from Kevin Travis, Jessie Dain, Edgar Riviera, Jesus Yanez, Thongsai Thandabarth and Kylie Taylor!
Jonathan Hernandez sealed the league championship for the Blazers with an 11-5 win!

Country 103.1 honors the locals named to the All League softball team.
Marysville's Asten Welch - GEL MVP
For the 2nd straight year- GEL Coach of the Year, Maurice Clavella.
Also on the team Tressa Arostegui, Brena Buttacavoli, Marissa Clavelle, Maddy Harvell, Jocelynn Talosiq all from Marysville. From Lindhurst Kristan Montgomeryand Deja Hawkins.
In the BVL Randi May who earned MVP honors for the second straight year. Also on the team Taylor Crabb, Mikayla McLanaham, Tara McIntyre and Melanie Permann. From Sutter; Catie Gravel, Taylor Pack, Sami Prossen and Sara Stephenson. From Gridley Franie Cox and Mikaela Poniano.
For the Mid Valley League; East Nicolaus' Amanda Taylor was named league MVP. Katelin Evans, Brianna Gaytan, Alanna Smith and Shelby Wilson. Also on the MVL team Ashlee Povllsen from Williams.

Congratulations to the North Valley Jrs who took 17th Place out of 147 teams at the Far Westerns National Qualifier Volleyball Tournament.
This meant that they won the Silver Division bracket, going 9-1 beating teams from Northern California, Orgeon, Texas and Hawaii
This year's team consisted of Taylor Cooper, Katie Covey, Lauren Danna, Olivia Hansel, Chloe Heape, Tori Michel, Courtney Massengale, Sarah Owens, Ally Reins and Margaret Whitlock!

A team of 2 Brittan School students, Lindsay Dingler and Brandon Gildemeister, were nominated by Superintendent Staci Kaelin , who tells us Lindsay and Brandon have received the California Jr. Scholarship Federation's Marian Hun Award.
The award recognizes 25 students nationwide for their academic excelence and service to their schools and communitites.
Superintendent Kaelin also commends the work of California Jr. Scholarship Federation Advisor Heather Azevedo. Congrats to this week's Team of the Week!
