Sutter Buttes Canine Resuce
Founded by Yvonne Moore in 1998, her goal was to find homes for homeless dogs for 100 days. It has obviously grown quite a bit from those modest beginnings.
A 1007. no kill shelter, the Sutter Buttes Canine Rescue has provided homes for over 4,600 surrendered and abandoned dogs that never had to spend even an hour in a county shelter.
Four years ago the Sutter Buttes Canine Rescueestablished a thrift shop in Yuba City that has enabled them not only to build a brand new, no- koill shelter where a full-time attendant lives at the site, but in a partnership with the County one-stop they provide jobs for seniors, members of the experience works program and the developmentally disabled.
