TWO YUBA CITY MAN PLEAD GUILTY IN 2018 SHOOTING

Ahead of their impending jury trial scheduled to begin next Tuesday, 2 Yuba City men charged with assault with a firearm, have both pled guilty. Jakiem Halstead was arrested shortly after the March 2018 shooting, involving a Sacramento man in town selling pot and will serve 9 years. Khai’Sean Smith-Love was arrested 4 month later and was sentenced to 13 years. Both men were on probation at the time of the shooting, which left the victim with non-life threatening injuries.
